The Caney Creek Panthers will play host again on Friday to welcome the College Park Cavaliers, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Caney Creek will be strutting in after a victory while College Park will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with nine defeats in a row dating back to last season, Caney Creek finally turned things around against Cleveland on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Indians 42-9 at home. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, College Park entered their match against Willis on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. College Park came up short against Willis, falling 45-21. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Wildkats are ranked 24th).

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Camden Hughes and Jack Emerson. Emerson had a great game and threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.6 yards per attempt. Meanwhile, Hughes was balling out in the loss, throwing for 239 yards and two touchdowns.
