Greenville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Greenwood Bulldogs by a score of 44-41 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Despite the loss, Greenville still got an impressive performance from Keniyha Rhodes, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten boards. Corneisha Brown was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jada Ware, who posted eight points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Se'Nyah Smith, who earned seven points and four steals.
