Basketball Recap: Troy Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Troy had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Henry Geiger did his part to make it five on Friday. The Troy Trojans walked away with a 73-63 victory over the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones thanks in part to Geiger, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Troy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will take on Valley Falls in a holiday battle at on Tuesday. One thing working in Valley Falls' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] will take on Pleasant Ridge in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
