Soccer Game Preview: Parsons vs. Independence

Parsons is 0-8 against Independence since September of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Vikings will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Parsons' offense. They lost 4-0 to Field Kindley last Thursday.

Meanwhile, Independence entered their tilt with Pittsburg on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Dragons. The game was the first time Independence have beaten Pittsburg on their pitch since October 22, 2020.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Parsons, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Parsons suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Independence when the teams last played back in September. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
