Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Pacifica

Pacifica came out on top against Buena on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Tritons were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The Tritons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ricky Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Devon Wilkes, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Pacifica hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Pacifica pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Buena, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Pacifica will face off against St. Bonaventure at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Buena will be paying especially close attention to the Tritons' game: after the Tritons face off against the Seraphs, they'll take on Buena again at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
