Basketball Recap: Maquoketa Valley Skates Past Midland with Ease

Maquoketa Valley won the last time they faced Midland and things went their way on Friday too. The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Midland Eagles 67-21. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Maquoketa Valley and bumps their season record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points over those games. As for Midland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Midland, they will head out to take on Easton Valley on Thursday.
