Softball Game Preview: Frankford Pioneers vs. High School of the Future

After both having extra time off, the Frankford Pioneers and High School of the Future will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

High School of the Future will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Frankford extended their winning streak to three last Thursday. Everything went the Pioneers' way against Roxborough as they made off with a 20-1 victory. The match marked the Pioneers' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, High School of the Future came up short against Philadelphia High School for Girls last Wednesday and fell 16-11.

Jamm Shell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Tatyanna Mapp was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Frankford's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for High School of the Future, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Frankford's way against High School of the Future when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Frankford made off with a 13-6 win. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do High School of the Future have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
