Basketball Recap: Buhl Comes Up Short

Buhl was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Marsh Valley Eagles and fell 70-43. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-50 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Buhl still got an impressive performance from Camron Gorrell, who went 8 for 17 to rack up 21 points and five rebounds. That was a full 48.8% of Buhl's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Tate Trevino was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

Buhl's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Marsh Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.

Buhl has already played their next match, a 59-39 defeat against Wendell on the 11th. As for Marsh Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Snake River at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Snake River will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Marsh Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
