Gilbert is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Aiken Fighting Green Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Gilbert is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

If Aiken heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Gilbert took over last week. The Indians walked away with a 3-1 victory over Crestwood on Tuesday.

Gilbert hit the Knights with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cade Hopp, Adair Duque, and Carson Barnes.

Meanwhile, Aiken came up short against Greenwood on Saturday, falling 5-1. Aiken have struggled against Greenwood recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Aiken's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gilbert, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Gilbert was able to grind out a solid victory over Aiken in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 2-0. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Green Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
