Baseball Recap: Holmen Comes Up Short

Holmen suffered their closest defeat since May 3, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Aquinas Blugolds by a score of 4-2. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Holmen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Holmes, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Holmen's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Aquinas, their record is now 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holmen will take on Onalaska at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Hilltoppers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Aquinas, they will face off against DeForest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blugolds are facing the Norskies at the right time seeing as the Norskies are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
