Basketball Recap: Southwest Minnesota Christian's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Southwest Minnesota Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 69-58 victory over the Murray County Central Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-62 back in January.

Southwest Minnesota Christian pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points over those games. As for Murray County Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles duke it out with the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Minnesota Christian is facing Red Rock Central at the right time seeing as Red Rock Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Murray County Central, they will venture away from home to face off against Westbrook-Walnut Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
