Baseball Recap: Design Tech Extends Winning Streak to Three

Design Tech waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Summit Tahoma Tigers a 12-0 shutout. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Aidan Tom and Charles Poole made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Tom struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Poole pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. At bat, Tom earned two RBI and one run, while Poole went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Camren Tom was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Design Tech's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5-1 when he doesn't).

Design Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summit Tahoma only posted a batting average of .067.

The win got Design Tech back to even at 5-5-1. As for Summit Tahoma, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Design Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
