Fallbrook has gone a perfect 3-0 against Santana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will square off against the Sultans at 6:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Fallbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Mission Vista and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with Mission Vista: they've now lost six in a row.
Fallbrook started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 19-25, 25-15, 25-20, 15-8.
Santana extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Vanessa Ryan. The Sultans walked away with a 3-1 win over El Capitan on Thursday with plenty of help from Ryan, who had 22 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Santana had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-17.
Fallbrook better focus on containing Naomi Olayan and Brooklynn Draheim as the pair were huge in Santana's win. Olayan had 12 digs, while Draheim had 14 digs, 12 kills, and two blocks. That's the most digs Draheim has posted since back in September.
Santana's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Fallbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.
Fallbrook skirted past Santana 2-1 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Sultans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
