Soccer Recap: Gladewater Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gladewater can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the San Augustine Wolves who were credited with the victory on Saturday. The San Augustine Wolves got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Gladewater Bears' three. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-2 two weeks ago.

Gladewater has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. San Augustine pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Gladewater nor San Augustine have any future games scheduled.
