Basketball Recap: Pickering Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Pickering won the last time they faced Singer and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pickering Red Devils had just enough and edged the Singer Hornets out 51-49. The 51-point effort marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Pickering's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Singer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-1.

Pickering will be taking part in a tournament against Barbe at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Singer, they will challenge Lacassine at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lacassine knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Singer likes a good challenge.
