Soccer Recap: Kathleen Takes a Loss

Kathleen lost against Lake Gibson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kathleen Red Devils lost 7-0 to the Lake Gibson Braves. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Braves are ranked 253rd).

Kathleen's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Lake Gibson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7-2.

Kathleen didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Lake Region on the 9th. As for Lake Gibson, they will venture away from home to take on Frostproof at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
