Baseball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Scott's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Scott gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Shelby Valley Wildcats 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Saturday.

Scott's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Louden White, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Scott has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Shelby Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Looking ahead, Scott will square off against Charleston Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Skyhawks 3.5, the Irish 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Shelby Valley, they will challenge Johnson Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
