Volleyball Recap: Bakersfield Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hoover

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bakersfield Christian walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Hoover Patriots on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Bakersfield Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 23-25, 29-27, 25-22, 15-9.

Bakersfield Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Hoover, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-22 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Bakersfield Christian and Righetti will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Hoover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
