Softball Recap: McLean vs. St. James Saints

Friday just wasn't the day for McLean's offense. They lost 26-0 to the St. James Saints on Friday. The loss leaves McLean without a win on the season.

For St. James' part, Lily Schlotterbeck made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Schlotterbeck has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Schlotterbeck was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs.
