Basketball Recap: Hauser Find Success

The Hauser Jets earned a 54-46 win over the Mooresville Christian Eagles on Saturday.

Hauser can attribute much of their success to June Berkenstock, who shot 44% from the field on her way to 21 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Konradi, who posted four points and three steals.

Hauser was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mooresville Christian only posted three.

Despite the loss, Mooresville Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia Mattingly went 9-for-21 to rack up 23 points along with three steals and three blocks. Addey Hayden was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

The victory got Hauser back to even at 1-1.

Hauser has already played their next contest, a 42-32 win against Brown County on the 11th. As for Mooresville Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-16 defeat against Sheridan on the 13th.
