Softball Recap: St. John Heralds vs. Lordstown Red Devils

St. John won the last time they faced Lordstown and things went their way on Thursday too. The Heralds came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 13-10. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Heralds' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Maddie Holler was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off only two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
