Volleyball Game Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Man Hillbillies

The Sherman Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Man Hillbillies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherman will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Sherman not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Scott as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Sherman never let Scott on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sherman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Rollo, who had 21 kills, eight digs, and one block. Rollo has been hot for a while, having posted seven or more kills the last 53 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Russell, who had 30 assists and six digs.

Meanwhile, Man came up short against Logan two weeks ago, falling 3-0.

While Man was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Logan's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-16.

Sherman's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Man, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Sherman took their win against Man in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tide since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
