Basketball Recap: Winona's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Winona's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-34 margin over the Quitman Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-31 back in December of 2024.

Winona's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15. As for Quitman, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.

Winona will square off against Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Edgewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Quitman, they will face off against Eustace at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quitman is facing Eustace at the right time seeing as Eustace is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
