Basketball Recap: Potosi/Cassville's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Potosi/Cassville had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They secured a 50-46 W over the De Soto Pirates. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Potosi/Cassville as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, De Soto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sylvia Krueger dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Krueger is now averaging an impressive 2 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Venner, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 boards.

Potosi/Cassville's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for De Soto, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Potosi/Cassville nor De Soto have any future games scheduled.
