Soccer Game Preview: Manning vs. Philip Simmons

The Manning Monarchs will venture away from home to face off against the Philip Simmons Iron Horses at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Manning has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Philip Simmons will come in with nine straight victories.

Manning came up short against Lake City on Friday, falling 10-1. Manning were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 7-0.

Meanwhile, Philip Simmons kept a clean sheet against Stratford on Thursday. They beat the Knights by a goal, winning 1-0. Philip Simmons' winning goal came courtesy of Cris Morales.

Philip Simmons pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those nine games. As for Manning, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.
