Baseball Preview: Morgan Trojans vs. Payson Lions
The Morgan Trojans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Payson Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morgan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
Morgan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain View, who was ranked eighth at the time (Morgan was ranked fifth). The Trojans came out on top against the Bruins by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ruger Braithwaite, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Cole Neves was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Payson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juab only posted an OBP of .125.
