Baseball Recap: Moniteau Comes Up Short

Moniteau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarion-Limestone Lions. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 11-1.

Ian Ross made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Connor Ealy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Moniteau's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Clarion-Limestone, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Moniteau nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
