Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Takes a Loss

If St. Mary was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Moon Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. Mary's Knights lost 3-0 to the Peoria Panthers on Tuesday. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

While St. Mary's ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Mary's fell to 2-1. As for Peoria, they moved to 1-3 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will square off against Thunderbird at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Peoria, they will challenge Bradshaw Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Peoria is facing Bradshaw Mountain at the right time seeing as Bradshaw Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
