            Basketball Preview: Polytech Panthers vs. Sussex Tech Ravens        
        
		
        
        
            The Polytech Panthers will face off against the Sussex Tech Ravens at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Polytech is coming into the  game hot, having won their last six games.
Polytech is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Delaware's top teams: Dover, who was ranked 22nd  at the time (Polytech was ranked seventh). Polytech pulled ahead with  a  48-47 photo finish over Dover on Tuesday. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Polytech relied on the efforts of   Sierra Henry, who  posted 23  points in addition to six  steals and five  rebounds, and   Saniya Skinner, who  earned 14 points and eight  steals. With that strong performance,  Henry is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Marie Cadet, who  scored three  points and 11  boards.
 Polytech  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive boards. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Sussex Tech). They breezed by Sussex Central to the tune of  63-30 on Tuesday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Ravens as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Polytech's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Sussex Tech, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 4-4.
 Polytech took their  win against Sussex Tech  in their previous meeting  back in December of 2024 by a conclusive  65-45. Does  Polytech have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sussex Tech turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
