Softball Recap: King's Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

King's Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Palm Beach Central on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Palm Beach Central Broncos by a score of 9-7. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Gracyn Needle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abigail Daniel, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, King's Academy fell to 5-1. As for Palm Beach Central, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. As for Palm Beach Central, they will square off against Lake Worth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
