Baseball Game Preview: Kilgore Bulldogs vs. Lindale Eagles

The Kilgore Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Lindale Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lindale took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kilgore, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Kilgore turned things around against West Rusk on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 21st.

Joe Hendrickson and Cason Edney did most of the damage at the plate: Hendrickson went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base, while Edney went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Hendrickson a new career-high. Tanner Beets was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Lindale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-0 to Spring Hill.

Lindale's loss dropped their record down to 16-6-1. As for Kilgore, their victory bumped their record up to 12-17-1.
