The East Fairmont Bees will be taking part in a tournament against the Brooke Bruins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. East Fairmont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.9 goals per game this season.

East Fairmont is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Wheeling Central Catholic, who was ranked seventh at the time (East Fairmont was ranked second). The Bees' defense stepped up to hand the Maroon Knights a 1-0 shutout last Thursday. East Fairmont's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Caroline Corwin, who's now up to 19 this season.

Meanwhile, Brooke hasn't lost a match since September 29th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Grafton.

Brooke's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those eight matches. As for East Fairmont, their win bumped their record up to 19-0.

East Fairmont skirted past Brooke 2-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2020. Will the Bees repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
