Pond Creek-Hunter came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-8 two weeks ago.

Pond Creek-Hunter has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pond Creek-Hunter will square off against Dover at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Longhorns will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waukomis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
