No. 4 Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) and Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.) gave us an early candidate for game of the year Saturday night as the Panthers prevailed with a remarkable 130-128 victory in seven overtimes.

A showdown heavy with storylines lived up to the billing as No. 2 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) knocked off LeBron James alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) 59-56 on a game-winning bucket from none other than Bronny James who finished with 15 points.

No. 10 McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) had its 39-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, losing to No. 18 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) 83-57 in the battle for Peach State supremacy.

An upset-filled week of high school hoops saw three big upsests as No. 25 Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) upended No. 6 Huntington Prep (Huntington, W. Va.) 70-54 at the Bojangles Bash, No. 18 Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) fell to Newton (Covington, Ga.) 84-80 and unbeaten Thorton (Harvey, Ill.) upset No. 20 Bloom (Chicago Heights, Ill.) 61-58.



No. 1 Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) continued to prove they are in a class of their own Thursday night, blowing out No. 11 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) 76-56 in a nationally televised showdown on ESPNU.

No. 19 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) also picked up a signature win Thursday night, knocking off No. 25 Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) 63-52 at the Battle at the Rock.
