Recap: Dover Eagles vs. Kennard-Dale Rams
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dallastown, The Dover Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-21 win over Kennard-Dale at home. The result was nothing new for Dover, who have now won four games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Aric Campbell had a dynamite game for Dover, throwing for 256 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Speelman, who rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Dover's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Northeastern and 2-8 Eastern York (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.9% over those games). As for Kennard-Dale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dover will take on West York Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West York Area comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Kennard-Dale, they will be playing at home against Susquehannock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
