Volleyball Game Preview: Lakota West Firebirds vs. Little Miami Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Lakota West Firebirds and the Little Miami Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakota West will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Lakota West got the win against Fairmont by a conclusive 3-0.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 27-25.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Little Miami challenged Harrison on Saturday. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since October 5, 2024.

Little Miami took Harrison into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 29-27, 22-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Little Miami's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Lakota West, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.

Lakota West took their win against Little Miami in their previous meeting back in August by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Firebirds repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
