Reid Albright leads a balanced attack to beat Cummings

The Chatham Central Bears had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 71-58 victory over Cummings. That's two games straight that Chatham Central has won by exactly 13 points.

Chatham Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reid Albright led the charge by dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Albright hasn't dropped below two steals for 19 straight games. Another player making a difference was Jacob Gilliland, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Cummings had strong showings from Ja'Kari Dobbins, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Ja'Kway Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Dobbins has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Kobie Stadler was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Chatham Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Cummings, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

One thing working in Northwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
