Recap: Lansdowne Vikings vs. Owings Mills Golden Eagles
The Lansdowne Vikings lost against the Owings Mills Golden Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Lansdowne was the victim of a tough 73-47 loss at the hands of Owings Mills. Lansdowne has not had much luck with Owings Mills recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Marcus Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Owings Mills, dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Nelson has scored at least 25% of Owings Mills' points. Another player making a difference was Francois Bangoura, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Lansdowne bumped their record down to 2-3 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Owings Mills, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Parkville the next time they take the court. Owings Mills will host Parkville at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024, while Lansdowne will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
