Volleyball Recap: Grovetown Falls Despite Big Games from Adelena Marquez and Abi Widener

Grovetown saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Kell Longhorns by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grovetown's loss came despite strong showings from Abi Widener and Adelena Marquez. Widener had four digs and two aces, while Marquez had 13 digs.

Grovetown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Kell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-15 record this season.

Grovetown has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Grayson on the 16th. As for Kell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Thompson on the 13th.
