Basketball Game Preview: SkyView Academy Hawks vs. Gilpin County Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (SkyView Academy has six straight victories, Gilpin County has 36 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points over those games. As for Gilpin County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Everything came up roses for SkyView Academy against Gilpin County when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 86-12 victory. In that game, SkyView Academy amassed a halftime lead of 42-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
