Winston-Salem Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 22-8 to the Pine Lake Prep Pride. Despite 72 more yards than the Pride, the Phoenix couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Hahsasah Simmons and Emanuel Ladson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Simmons picked up 145 receiving yards, while Ladson threw for 180 yards while completing 76.9% of his passes. Simmons' longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.
