Basketball Recap: Service Skates Past South Anchorage with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Service). They blew past the South Anchorage Wolverines, posting an 80-32 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Aryanna Watson, who posted 39 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Service's points. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh James, who had 20 points.

Service has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for South Anchorage, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Service wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-52 loss against Colony on the 17th. South Anchorage has also already played their next contest, a 67-23 defeat against Monroe Catholic on the 17th.
