            Baseball Recap: Madison County Cowboys vs. Jefferson County Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Madison County  took care of business in their home opener  on Tuesday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Jefferson County Tigers as the Madison County Cowboys made off with  a  24-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Cowboys, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Aiden Herring looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk).

 On the hitting side, Madison County got a  massive  performance out of  Kannon Plain, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. The dominant performance gave  Plain a new career-high in  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dalton McNutt, who  scored four  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County has  already played their next  contest (against Trenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jefferson County will head out on the road to  take on  Aucilla Christian  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Jefferson County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
