Basketball Game Preview: Sheyenne Mustangs vs. Fargo Davies Eagles

The Sheyenne Mustangs will head out to take on the Fargo Davies Eagles at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Sheyenne came up short against Shanley and fell 69-60.

Meanwhile, Fargo Davies ended up a good deal behind Fergus Falls on Saturday and lost 82-65. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked ninth in North Dakota, while the Otters are ranked 65th in Minnesota).

Fargo Davies' defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Sheyenne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Sheyenne lost to Fargo Davies on the road by a decisive 66-50 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Sheyenne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
