Softball Recap: Kokomo Wildkats vs. Logansport Berries

Kokomo had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 9-8 to make it four. They lost 12-2 to the Logansport Berries. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildkats of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lanaya Buckner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Coming up, Kokomo will be playing at home against Noblesville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Millers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Wildkats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Logansport, they will head out on the road to challenge Caston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
