Basketball Recap: Tolman Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Lincoln

On Saturday, Tolman faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tolman Tigers received a blow as they fell 70-52 to the Lincoln Lions. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Tolman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Hilaire, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Fleury, who earned 11 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Tolman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
