Sonora suffers fourth straight loss at home

The Sonora Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eldorado. Sonora has struggled against Eldorado recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Sonora lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Lozano. Despite the final result, he scored six points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Lozano pulled down eight or more rebounds. Wyatt Killough was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Sonora's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 9-11. As for Eldorado, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonora will take on Sterling City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sterling City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sonora in Texas (Sterling City is ranked 385th, while Sonora is ranked 1255th). As for Eldorado, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ozona at 7:30 p.m. Ozona has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
