Baseball Recap: Dardanelle Comes Up Short

Dardanelle lost against Pottsville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sand Lizards lost 13-4 to the Apaches. Sand Lizards fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Apaches since on Friday.

Cam Evans made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Rush Rector also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Dardanelle now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Pottsville, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Dardanelle and Pottsville will both be playing Mena the next time they take the field. The Sand Lizards will host the Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Apaches will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
