Springfield Township had lost four straight headed into Friday's game, but Zymir Small didn't let it get to five. The Spartans secured a 20-14 W over the William Tennent Panthers on Friday thanks in part to Small, who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Springfield Township's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Springfield Township's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for William Tennent, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
