Baseball Recap: Seton LaSalle Comes Up Short

Seton LaSalle lost against Waynesburg Central on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rebels came up short against the Raiders, falling 14-5. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connor Rothhaar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Roman Lonero also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Seton LaSalle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Waynesburg Central, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seton LaSalle will challenge Charleroi at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waynesburg Central, they will take on Belle Vernon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
